Car Parking

There is car parking on Marine Esplinade in a fee paying car park, or you can park up on the cliff top for free.  If you park on the cliff top you come down the multicoloured steps shown in the photo below to access the beach. 

Where we'll meet

Base camp will be right in the middle of the swim zone that we'll use.  Please meet in front of the blue kiosk (see second photo).  We will swim to the harbour wall in one direction and we'll give you a reasonable distance in the other direction.
 

HAZARDS

This is a normal public beach which has paddlers which will generally be at the end by the main kiosks.  Jet skiers etc are at the very far end of the beach and we will make sure that you don't venture that far.
 

CONDITIONS

Ramsgate will give you the opportunity to check out the channel from a different perspective. It has tides which you tend not to notice in Dover.


Training starts at the usual time - 9am in the water.  Arrive early enough to register, attend the briefing, get ready and in the water on time.
