Safeguarding Statement
DCT confirm that our practice in relation to safeguarding children and adults, the duty of confidentiality, the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR remains that the organisation will share information. In the first instance, consent will be sought where this is applicable. However, information will be shared without consent in circumstances where it is deemed to be in the public interest. This abides by both the spirit and the letter of the law and organisational procedures for information sharing and safeguarding.
DCT prioritises the safety and security of children and vulnerable adults and will collect, process, store and share data where this is appropriate and necessary for safeguarding. Any data /information shared will be proportionate and relevant.
