Big DCT congratulations to Kerry Yonushonis for your successful English Channel Solo

DCT first met Kerry when she took on the channel in 2017. For Kerry to even start that swim was, to me, incomprehensible and showed a strength of will that I could barely comprehend. Why do I say this? Well, Kerry & her family lost just about everything just shortly before travelling to the UK for the swim thanks to major floods that destroyed everything in her Texas house and that of the whole neighbourhood. The channel swimming community rallied round and helped Kerry get all the practical things sorted that were needed for a swim. Nothing could make up for the stress of things going on at home.
Imagine my delight to see Kerry come back to finish what she started. The family arrived towards the end of our intensity week and were a regular, smiling presence on the beach until her swim.
This time she smashed it and nailed the triple crown.
Well done Kerry, I’m looking forward to what you take on next.
