2020 Seminars

  • Kent Association for the blind 72 College Road Maidstone, England, ME15 United Kingdom (map)

Ta-da!!! The 2020 seminars are nearly with us.

We’re holding them nice and early so that you have time to put into practice the things that you learn, way before the season starts.

There will be a combination of plenary sessions and break out groups. For the breakout groups there is an additional theme this year:

  1. English Channel solos

  2. Relays

  3. Other adventures & planning your ‘what next’

The third stream recognises that not only is it not just about the English Channel and in fact it makes sense to do other swims in the build up to a channel solo, there is also an increasing trend for people to come back after a season and plan new adventures - we can use our shared knowledge of other swims to give you some inspiration. You can switch between any of the streams at any point.

Your speakers will include experts in their fields and people who have been through the programme and can give you a real and personal feel for what to expect.

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Get your CSA or CS&PF medical done by our friendly GP, Dr Mig Arbide (separate fee applies)

  • Have a ultrasound scan on any injury that is concerning you by Geoff Gardiner, an ultrasound sonographer.

  • Sign-up for your 2020 membership

  • Buy Dover Channel Training merchandise

Draft agenda is attached.

To sign-up choose the appropriate option below. You can select the full weekend or just a single day. Clearly I’d recommend the whole weekend!! There is a further link to book your medical or ultrasound sonography session (availability will be confirmed soon).
