Week 3 - alternative training

If this is your first time joining us we do a combination of getting wet (some even manage to swim!) and some other silly challenge. In this update I give the details of this week’s challenge and the one for the following week (as you may need to add to your grocery shopping).

Details

What to have ready

As before, you will need to be in your swimming kit (including goggles & hat but not earplugs!!) with a dry robe or something to keep you warm, ready for the briefing. Be prepared to get wet in what ever form of water you can access within lockdown guidelines. What you’ve all done in previous weeks is just fine - a bath, a shower, a paddling pool, a bucket & cup - whatever works for you.

You should be nice and warm after the challenge so a second dip may be tempting.

The theme

This should have been Eurovision day - so what a perfect theme to choose!


The briefing

I’ll do a briefing like last weekend. I’ll give you time to chat and at 8.55 or so I’ll start the briefing at which point I’ll put everyone temporarily on mute.


The challenge

Between swims you need to get changed and complete the challenge shown in the clip below (thanks to Forest Gate School for sharing).

You will need:

  • A coin

  • A flat surface

Extra points for anyone who videos their effort and includes a tiger or some other animal! Share it on the group.
