The location for this dip is to be Hythe. If the weather forecast is poor our back up location will be Dover Harbour. We’ll meet on the beach in front of Hythe & Saltwood Sailing Club. There is ample parking on Marine Parade behind the sailing club.
If there is a change in location, I will provide an update on here, via social media and will message those booked directly.

Disclaimer for new swimmers is here.
You can book through our booking system or scroll to the bottom of this page for direct access. If you plan to do all the swims, the cheapest option is to buy a season ticket. You still need to book, but when you click into the discount code box you will see a discount code automatically populate meaning no payment required.
What’s involved?
This isn’t training. It is a social dip. If you literally want to get in and out that is fine with us. If you want to swim a little longer, that’s fine too. We will cap the duration based on the water temperature and conditions. We’ll aim to support up to the appropriate polar bear challenge distance if conditions permit.
We’re not going to be facilitating long & heroic cold swims.
You should limit your swims to your ability, erring on the side of caution.
What can you wear?
Basically anything you want. If you want to wear a wetsuit or gloves & socks then that’s cool with us. You can wear multiple hats if you want. If you want to do head up breaststroke with a bobble hat, that is fine too, we do ask that everyone wears a swimming cap though.
You can wear any hat colour.
Set-up
We will split the group in 2 with half the swimmers going in for the first dip and half for the second. This will ensure that we always have people watching our bags and support on the beach for anyone who needs a little assistance with getting dry and dressed.
What else?
All swimmers will need to have signed the annual disclaimer. If you’ve already done that this year, there’s no need to do it again.
We’re happy to take new swimmers in October, November, and possibly December. We will not be accepting any new swimmers in January, February or March. New swimmers are welcome again in April. The colder months of winter (Jan-Mar) are not the time to decide to take up cold water swimming, so if you’re interested, get involved before the water cools down too much.
